ISO 14001:2015 Enviromental Management System (EMS)

Is the globally recognized standard for environmental management and describes the features that need to be in place in any organization that wishes to demonstrate that it is “environmentally responsible”.

The features of ISO 14001 include:

  1. The organization is both aware of, and compliant with, all appropriate environmental legislation.
  2. An effective way to both identify and reduce the organization's most significant environmental impacts.
  3. Full involvement of all management and staff in reducing the organization’s ongoing impact on the environment.

As with all ISO standards, any organization can achieve ISO 14001 certification regardless of their sector or size.

How will ISO 14001 help my Organization?

A well designed and implemented environmental management system should address the delicate balance between maintaining profitability and reducing environmental impact, and include:

  1. Streamlining environmental processes, reducing waste and the carbon footprint of your organization
  2. Reducing tax, energy and insurance bills, lowering operating costs
  3. Reducing the risk of prosecution due to environmental breaches or failure to comply with the law and the associated bad PR
  4. Providing your organization with the credentials to satisfy growing market demand and open up global opportunities with a recognized mark of environmental efficiency
  5. Giving clients and those in your supply chain absolute confidence that your organization will add value and support them in their own environmental policies.
